Cheaper than a taxi,
faster than a bus.

LinkRide is a cost-sharing carpool app — not a for-profit rideshare. The driver was already making the trip; you just split the fare with the people going the same way, verified and tracked, start to finish.

Android build in testing. iOS to follow. No spam — one email when we launch.

How LinkRide works

No surge pricing, no driver “wage” baked into the fare — just a trip that's happening anyway, shared with people going the same way.

01

Post or find a trip

Drivers post a trip they're already making. Riders search for one going their way, or set up a recurring weekly commute.

02

Check who you're riding with

Every driver is verified — licence, insurance, vehicle details. See their rating and reliability history before you join.

03

Split the fare, ride together

The fare is calculated transparently and split across the seats filled. Track the trip live and chat with the group in-app.

Fares that reflect the road, not a flat rate

Most rideshare pricing charges the same amount per mile no matter the trip. LinkRide bands fares by distance instead — the price per mile drops the further you go, and the full breakdown is shown before you book.

Short urban trips

0–5 miles

Highest per mile

Traffic, stop-start wear, and short trips still need a minimum fare to be worth the detour.

Mid-range trips

5–20 miles

Medium per mile

The most common commute distance — priced to stay well under a taxi.

Long motorway trips

20+ miles

Lowest per mile

Steady motorway driving costs the driver less per mile, so the saving passes to riders.

Illustrative example — exact bands and rates are set per trip and shown in full before you confirm a booking.

Frequently asked questions

Is LinkRide a taxi or rideshare service?+

No. LinkRide is cost-sharing, not for-profit rideshare. Drivers are already making the trip — riders just split the real cost of that journey with them, not pay a fare with a driver wage built in.

How is the price worked out?+

Fares are distance-banded: short urban trips cost more per mile (traffic, stop-start driving), long motorway trips cost less per mile. You see the full breakdown before you book.

Who can drive?+

Every driver goes through verification — licence, insurance, and vehicle details — before they can post a trip.
